The Fort Myers Miracle announced today the addition of pitcher Jeff Manship to the active roster. Manship represented Beloit as the starting pitcher for the Western Division in the Midwest League All-Star Game last week.

Manship was 7-1 with a 1.51 ERA in 13 games started this season for Beloit. He held opponents to a .185 batting average and compiled 77 strikeouts in 77 and two thirds inning pitched. His first start in Fort Myers has yet to be determined.

6/25/2007- The Minnesota Twins have promoted the Beloit Snappers staff ace and Midwest League Western Division All-Star starting pitcher, Jeff Manship, to the Fort Myers Miracle. Fort Myers is the Class High A Affiliate of the Twins.

Manship is 7-1 with a 1.51 ERA in 13 games started this season for Beloit. Opponents are batting a measly .185 against him. Jeff also has 77 strikeouts in 77 and two thirds inning pitched this year.

Jeff Manship was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week last week for going 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA. Manship started two games and allowed only one run off of four hits in fourteen innings pitched. Jeff also had seventeen strikeouts during the two game span.

Beloit's Jeffrey Manship has come a long way since his reconstructive elbow surgery in 2004. Just ask the Fort Wayne hitters, the 22-year-old right-hander's latest victims in the Midwest League.

Manship (2-0) held the Wizards to one base hit in seven nearly flawless innings as the Snappers blanked the Wizards, 3-0, at Pohlman Field on Monday. He struck out eight and walked one as he extended his scoreless-inning streak to 13 frames.
