The Twins have signed 30th-round pick Mike Tonkin, a righthander from Palmdale (Calif.) High. He's also the brother-in-law of Twins outfielder Jason Kubel. --- LEN3

That's a nice signing. Tonkin was rated by BBA as the 173rd best prospect in the draft but fell due to his commitment to Southern Cal.
